Five ways drones help Waikato farms run smoother — from spraying and spreading to mapping the ground beneath it all. We fly an all-DJI fleet, chosen for accuracy, reliability, and a support network that's well established in NZ.
Targeted spraying for crops and arable land — herbicide, fungicide, and insecticide applied with centimetre-level accuracy using DJI Agras spray drones. That means less overlap, less waste, and more even coverage than a lot of ground-based kit.
Knock back gorse, thistles, and other problem weeds on pasture — including the steep, boggy, or awkward-shaped blocks that ground gear struggles with. Drones can get into corners and along fence lines a sprayer or quad just can't.
Even, accurate spreading of fertiliser and lime across paddocks using DJI's spreading systems — particularly handy in winter and early spring, when the ground's too soft for a truck or tractor-mounted spreader.
Using DJI's mapping platforms, we can fly your property to build accurate maps and imagery — useful for planning spray jobs, measuring paddock areas, tracking crop or pasture condition over a season, or just having an up-to-date aerial record of the place.
